Our 1-month course that we weren’t sure anyone was going to show up for has already come to an end. Yesterday evening we talked about forming good spending habits and how to put some of the financial tools we worked with throughout the class to work for us in our real lives.
To end any good course, certificates were presented to each student who met the requirement of participating in at least 3 of the 4 classes.
We had a fun little celebration, complete with lots of photo-taking and even some cookie-eating before saying our farewells.
The good news, though, is that Isaiah and I start our second personal finance class next week – same time, same place, slightly different focus. It sounds like a number of these students are interested in continuing and completing part two as well. Hooray!
